Due to demand, an additional Sting 3.0 Cape Town concert is now confirmed for 26 March 2025 at the Grand Arena, GrandWest. Tickets go on sale at 9am (local) today from www.bigconcerts.co. za and www.ticketmaster.co.za. The "STING 3.0" Tour kicks off at the SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria on the 22 of March 2025 and then heads to the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town on the 25 and 26 of March 2025...

Sting delivered a career-encompassing set of songs at BBC's Radio 2 in the Park event which is being held in Preston's Moor Park this weekend. Topping the bill on Saturday evening, he performed many timeless hits dating from both from his days with The Police right through to his most recent single 'I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart)' which was released last week. 2013: Sting was in Paris where he appeared on RTL's 'Le Grand Studio' show.

2010: Accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, Sting performed at Minsk Arena in Minsk, Belarus.

2009: Sting and band performed at Durham Cathedral premiering material from the forthcoming 'If On A Winter's Night...' album. More

2008: Sting performed with Chris Botti and the Boston Pops at Chris's show at the Symphony Hall in Boston, USA.

2006: Sting & Trudie were in New York for the premiere of 'A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints'.

2004: Sting performed at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in Houston, USA. More

1999: Sting was the main guest on the National Lottery TV show in the UK where he performed 'Brand New Day'.

1994: Sting performed at Sultans Pool in Jerusalem, Israel. More

1991: Sting performed at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, USA. More

1989: Sting appeared as Macheath in the '3 Penny Opera' at the National Theatre in Washington DC.

1983: The Police performed at the Frankfurt Boellenfalltor Stadium in Darmstadt, Germany.

1981: Sting played a whole set with Chelsea at The Greyhound in Fulham as their stand in bass player. 'Invisible Sun' was released as a single in the UK. More

1979: The Police performed at the Top Rank in Swansea, Wales.

 

SUMMONER'S TALES...

"I have to remind myself that all my songs began with a very simple, intriguing idea, either a line of a lyric or an interval on the guitar, or some memorable riff that I found. They all started small and I built them up gradually, so I have to remind myself that songs don't appear out of thin air."
